I actually discovered this wine at Flanigan’s Seafood Bar and Grill. If the hubby and I ever go missing, please look for us there.
Trapiche Oak Cask is made with grapes from The Andes Mountains; where the altitude and sunshine produces aromatic fruit. The ageing in oak barrels during 9 months results in greater complexity. This Argentinean Malbec has sweet aromas and flavors of black cherries and plums. It's a medium-bodied red wine with oaky notes of vanilla and velvety texture. Trapiche recommends pairing it with cheeses, red meats, mushrooms and stew.
When I’m not enjoying a glass of Trapiche at Flanigan’s, I’m enjoying this vinito at home paired with cheeses. I usually find Trapiche at my local Publix. I highly recommend this value-priced wine for your holiday gatherings or as a nice gift option.
Pick up a bottle of this Malbec and let me know what you think.
