On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, 25 women and wine lovers gathered for Women Who Wine at hidden gem, Casabe 305 Bistro for an intimate Charcuterie and Spanish wine pairing event.

Guests were welcomed with a glass of wine, Cava Brut 'Bodegas Torre Oria' from Valencia, Spain for the networking portion of the event, and before the wine tasting started.

Venezuelan Chef Diego Texera complimented the wine pairing with a Charcuterie experience that included: fresh Mozzarella, Bocconcini Caprese Pinchos, Duck Magret with fire roasted Panini, natural Prosciutto and Asiago cheese with fire roasted Panini, and an array of cured meats and aged cheeses.

The Spanish wine pairing experience was led by Sommelier for Hidalgo Imports, Martha Rodriguez and included:

  1. La Gitana Manzanilla 'Bodegas Hidalgo La Gitana' from Sanlucar de Barrameda, Spain
  2. Cune Crianza 'Bodegas CVNE' from Rioja, Spain
  3. Alidis Roble 'Bodegas Viña Mambrilla' from Ribera del Duero, Spain

Guests had such a great experience that they stayed around to enjoy more of Chef Diego Texera's signature dishes (I did too) and vinito.
