Store-bought hummus recipe

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  1. Store-bought hummus of choice 
  2. Cocktail cucumbers 
  3. Red onion
  4. Cherry tomatoes 
  5. Kalamata olives
  6. Garbanzo beans (a.k.a. chickpeas)
  7. Fresh dill
  8. Feta cheese
  9. Paprika
  10. Optional: watermelon radishes
  11. Pita bread

Pickling Cucumbers & Red Onions:

  1. 1 cup rice vinegar
  2. 1/3 cup sugar
  3. 2 Tsp. salt
  4. Shake in a jar and let marinate for 15-20 minutes

Baked Pita:

  1. Cut pita bread into wedges
  2. Sprinkle with salt, red pepper, oregano
  3. Drizzle with olive oil
  4. Transfer to oven on 425 °F for 10-12 minutes

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Spread hummus evenly on a plate using the back of a spoon
  2. Garnish with:
  • Cocktail cucumbers 
  • Red onion
  • Cherry tomatoes 
  • Kalamata olives
  • Garbanzo beans (a.k.a. chickpeas)
  • Fresh dill
  • Feta cheese
  • Watermelon radishes 
  • Sprinkle with paprika 

Wine Pairing Tips: 

Visit your neighborhood wine store and ask for a wine higher in acidity, such as:

  1. Riesling
  2. New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc
